21 Day Happiness Advantage Challenge - Day 3

Yay Day Thray!!!

I know it’s “three”. But three doesn’t rhyme with yay or day. Anyway, on with the good stuff.

3 New Things I Am Grateful For


1. I am grateful for a strong immediate family. So often you hear about broken families, and there’s no way I could relate to anyone who has that. I am extremely blessed to have an amazing family where my mom & dad are still together, and I am close to both of my sisters. I couldn’t image growing up without any one of them not in my life!

2. I am grateful for my in-laws. That’s right, I said in-laws! So often you hear people complain about going to family events at in-laws and they just dread doing it. Not this guy. I love my in-laws! Momma (Kathy) is so great with us and Eston. She’d do anything for us. Rod is a father anyone would be proud to have. Beckie is like the sister you wish you had growing up. And that doesn’t even include all the uncles, aunts, and grandparents.

3. I am grateful for clean running water. Let’s not take for granted a nice hot shower! There’s lots of people in this world who don’t have access to this, so I’m grateful to have clean water for drinking, showering and…. *cough*

Hey, I can’t put 3 mushy things into one post. Gotta mix it up!

1 Positive Experience in the Past 24 Hours

I got to chop wood for the first time in my life. Man ALIVE that’s a lot of work! But it’s actually a lot of fun. Nikki and I haven’t laughed so much in a while.

I think so. I’ll throw some jumping jacks and push ups in before I go to bed too. Don’t worry.

Meditate

Sorry meditation experts, but I’m going with the nap thing again today. Got a nice nap on the way home from the Thyr residence this evening again. I can’t imagine meditation being any better than a good nap. We’ll see once I start doing it correctly.

Random Act of Kindness

Can I use chopping wood a third time? I should cause we did it for Rod to be nice and helpful! He even said we didn’t have to. So yeah, I’m gonna go with chopping wood a third time.

Bonus act of kindness…I could have let him go the whole night without telling him that Nikki switched around all of his dresser drawers. But I was kind enough to let him know. You know, before he wake up at 5am and searches for socks and cannot find them.
